Who Should Attend: Supervisors, team leads, anyone who leads others new or existing within an organization, on a formal or informal level.

Course Description:

This course is designed to teach managers the fundamentals of documenting and addressing performance issues positively and constructively with an emplasis on the progression from coaching to potential disciplinary action.

Only with consistent and frequent observation, documentation and coaching can a manager hope to assist his/her team members with their professsional growth and ability to meet day-to-day goals and successful task/project completion.

This course will teach you how to:

  • Explain performance documentation standards that are fair and legally sound
  • Identify and capture performance on a Performance Log
  • Differentiate among coaching, counseling and disciplinary action conversations and conduct each type
  • Develope communication skills used to conduct performance conversations
  • Explain the collaborative relationship between managment and HR to provide fair and consistant performance management

Elaine Angelo, Perfrormance Consultant, ProKnledge, LCC

Elaine Angelo has 25 years of experience leading human resource and staff development initiatives in a variety of organizations, including Fortune 500 non-profits, member associations and family-owned. She has developed and implemented programs that enhance employee engagement, promote internal advancement, build essential business and people skills, and recognize employee performance. Through her experience with 13 merger and acquisitions and three start-up ventures, she understands the development needs of employees who are challenged by an ever-changing landscape.
